Under the Dome

Dup and Sharen decided to take in a White Sox game up at Miller park in Milwaukee and invited us along. The White Sox don't play up there very often. Mike has been up there, but we 3 have not, so we decided to take a road trip.

Dup searched for tickets on StubHub (he waited and waited till actually just hours before game time) and snagged some prime seats in the first level right by home plate.
We left the house in the pouring rain, but there is no rain outs at Miller park - they have a roof. The weather didn't need the roof closed, it was pretty nice up there at the start of the game, but we were glad it was when we exited and saw that it was 54 degrees and windy.

It was Sharen and Dup's first game under a dome. Mike and I saw the Sox play up in MN at the old metro dome. Saw them in Toronto too but the roof was open then.
It took us less than 2 hours to get from Shady to the parking lot. It can take us that long to get to the Cell.
Sox fan everywhere tail gating. Check out this set up. I told them they needed a Bulls flag and then it would be perfect.
We had something to eat and a few beers before heading in. Beers inside are $8.00 and pop was $4.95. OUCH! That's a lot of money for anybody, not just us retired people.
We took a stroll around the park. the concourse was huge - reminded me of Nationals park. Lots of room and fun stuff to do. Like sit in a Mitt.

We couldn't bring home a winner, but we got to see an exciting game with lots of action.
You can't beat fun at the old ball park.
