Dylan is a teenager

Saturday December 29 our oldest grandchild turned 13.

He is a sweet, considerate, gentle young man.
He has a quick sense of humor and can make me laugh really hard at times.
He is tall and thin like his Mom, but I can see his Papa Down in him. He kinda sits back and watches things before joining, but he will help with anything when asked. He is the first to make sure that the game is played fairly and wants to win every time.
He has the highest score in Wii Just Dance, and likes to tease me with it. My excuse is I am older and I am sticking with that.

He puts up with having his picture taken with his papa and grandma.

And even suffers through with kisses from 2 of his Grandmas. He didn't want too, but he did, true Dylan style.
He has lighten up our lives in so many ways.
Happy Birthday Dylan -Love you

Christmas

I had a great Christmas.
It started with a brunch Christmas Eve morning at Carrie and Dave's. We have been getting together this morning every year since 84. A life time for some.

Mary and Bryan hosted Christmas Eve.
That woman can sure cook. Everything was delicious.

I snuck a present under their tree for Brian. I have no idea why I didn't make him his bunny suit earlier, but last year when we talked about it again I went out after Christmas and bought the material. Actually the gift said to Brian - From Aunt Clara, so he knew then.

He liked it! More like he loved it.
My kids were very, very good to me.
The grandkids even sat with me for a yearly "look how we have grown" picture.

Cookie Bake

Another year baking cookies.
Sharen and I spent Saturday morning with our "daughters" and our grand children baking cookies.  (We both want to leave a tradition of warm Christmas memories to our families of something we both love to do - bake cookies). I can't say granddaughters, because little grandson Matthew has turned into quite the helper. I knew that he liked to spend time in the kitchen helping his Momma and Grandma so when I saw this super hero material I knew that I had to make him an apron.
It was a huge hit.
He tried to get Roger up on the stool to help. Next year for sure.

We baked and decorated and baked some more.

 So many different cookies. YUM
"Papa daycare" was hopping with 3 kids age 17 to 20 months old. Matthew and Kaylyn would occasionally join in the fun. Kaylyn would curl up in ball in the box and "surprise" the little ones. Notice Kendell in the back ground - That is as close as she got to the action. The same little girl who spent her first few minutes standing in the corner whining, waiting for Sharen (Grandma) to show up.
The place was chaos.  If you could of heard the noise. 3 little people that communicate by grunt, yells and  screeching. Kendell loves bells and walked around carrying our reindeer rope of bells. I wish I had a picture or better yet a video, but I was too busy baking and cleaning up. I loved it all.
I think maybe next year we will have to make it a cookie exchange. Everybody can bake the cookies at home and bring them with them. And while the grand kids (Roger, Kendell, and Kallie will be old enough to help) are decorating the cutout cookies - us adults can sit around, drink some cocktails and visit with each other. Sounds like a plan!

Gingerbread Houses

Kaylyn's teacher was looking for volunteers for helping with her second grade class to help them make gingerbread houses.
When Kaylyn called and asked me if I wanted to help I jumped all over it.
It was for first thing in the morning so I picked her up and we went to school together. She took me to her classroom and I met her teacher. She then took me to the cafeteria where the assembly of house was to take place.
There were several parents and 2 of us Grandma's there.

One girl asked Kaylyn if I was her Grandmother and Kaylyn told her Yes.

She said "I brought my Grandma too."
Kaylyn with her house.
This was so much fun to watch these kids and their imagination. One boy put a chocolate cookie on the roof. I asked him "What is that?" he told me it was his roof top. I told him it look like his house had a satellite dish for TV. I moved on and helped another little girl open all her candy canes. When I returned to the boys table 3 more boys showed me their "dishes" on their roofs. We all laughed.

When I got home I heard about the tragedy in CN and cried.
I just left a cafeteria full of innocent, laughing, little 7 yr olds, making gingerbread house in a small town just like there.

Just Asking

I have been terrible this Christmas about second guessing myself.
I have taken back a total of 6 gifts already. Maybe there is something for this last minute shopping thing. Buy it  - Wrap it - DONE!

Of course, I am making a few gifts this year. When I think I am done I see something and am convinced that so and so would love that. AND I am sure I can get it done before Christmas. So I start a new project.

Then I tell myself, Christmas is just 2 weeks away. Hummmmm...Really?

I started it anyway.
Ran to Joannes got the material and got started.

Everybody knows that you measure TWICE cut once. I get rushed and cut the damn material wrong. Need 4 inch strips and I cut it 3 inch.
Now what? Usually I would stop take a breath and come back to it later. (sometimes months later)
Hey Karen, Christmas is 2 weeks away!!
So I look in my stacks and stacks of fabrics to see if there is anything else I could use. Lo and Behold there is the same fabric...

So I ask you.
Does finding that material mean that I have too much material that I forget about it?
OR does it mean I am building a good back up system that just needs organization?
Just Asking!!
OK, You really don't have to answer this, because any quilter knows you can NEVER have too much material.

Santa Breakfast

Roger (Bryan & Mary) invited us to go have breakfast with Santa. His preschool teachers were hosting it at the hospital's cafeteria. (Roger's daycare is at the hospital.)

He was all about the eating. Clearly he gets his eating habits from his Father.
When eating was done Santa shows up. "Come on Daddy - Santa's here!"
He thought Santa was cool from afar.
Then he was curious about his bell bracelet.
When it came for lap sitting he was having NO part of it. He clung to Mommy, but no tears or crying.
Santa was really gentle with the kids and ask each parent if it was OK to stand, to touch and to hold their kids. Roger took his book and candy cane and got outa there.

Let there be Light

When we first visited this house when we were looking to move I fell in love with the light fixture over the dining room table. It is the first thing I notice when I walked in the front door. I liked that it shown down just around the table and didn't light up the whole room.  It has 3 of the coolest green glass shades.

It was starting to look dated and when we changed out all the hardware and knobs on the cabinets in the kitchen to silver I knew that it was time for the fixture to go. I still wanted one that the lights went down and maybe find one that I could still use the green glass shades. Well I have been looking for several months. They all seem to want to shine up. I knew that I would find one if I just kept looking.
The nice man at Home Depot told me to look online - They had more selections there.

Ok - Like I haven't thought of THAT myself. Duh!
Home Depot didn't have it, but Lowes did! I decided to wait to order online and see if the Lowes in Geneva (next door to Joannes) had one. woot! woot! there it was.
Looks pretty darn good too.
Mike installed it, with a bit help from me and I only had to ask once - "Do you want me to call Bill?" That got me a dirty look.
He did good, Bill!

walking

The grand kids spent the night on Saturday.
After a big breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon and "Candy bacon" (I found this recipe in the new Alex Cross book - Merry Christmas, Alex Cross) Kaylyn ate 3 pieces - she would of ate it all but Papa had to have some and me and the boys each took a taste. I felt the need to take a walk. I invited the crew to go with me and Sharen for a hike 'round the circle. Mike stayed back to clean the dirty dishes.
The kids ran ahead and made the turn to take the "longer" route. I am sure this was Kaylyn's idea - she was on a mission to find deer. As soon as we got back on the main trail the boys made the turn for home and the girls continued on.

Kaylyn holding up the railroad tracks. I admit I need some work on this kind of picture taking, but we had fun.

We found a clear "deer path" and Kaylyn insisted on going to see if she could find them sleeping. Sharen was a brave soul and followed. No deer.
It was a warm perfect day for a hike.

Old Saying

You know that old saying "You don't know what you got until you lose it?" Of course you do, it was made into a song ( and I bet most of you sang that question just now reading this)

Well, here's another one. "You don't know what you're missing until you get one."

There are so many things out there that I could say would be nice to have, but really do I need one.
I spent my whole life making do. No complaints - that's just how I roll.
When I get my quilting notions catalog I go through it feeling that way. There are so many things in there that could make my quilting easier, but do I want to spend the money? ( I know what your thinking - What a cheapskate! Not true - I have bought some things)

Sharen is the same way. Twins are like that.
This year for our birthday Sharen found something that she was sure that I would like and would never buy myself - a design wall.

When I am ready to sew block together I have to find a space in the house big enough to spread them out. I have used the floor of most every room in the house. My favorite spot (or maybe it's just the one place where I don't have to pick it up every night) is the bed in the spare bedroom. I walk back and forth sewing individual blocks together. I do NOT get it right every time. A few of my quilts are back ass ward.

Not any more.
I love this thing.
I hung it IN my sewing room and put together these quilt blocks in less than 2 hours without any mistakes or back aches.

Right now I have a Christmas gift hanging on it all ready to be put together. I thought it looked amazing until Mike walked in and wanted to know "Why is this block turned the other way?"
Opps - I am sure if I looked at it long enough I would of seen that. :) For sure!

First Turkey Bowl

A couple young men in the family were heading to their first Turkey Bowl this year.

Matthew, who took the field and played with the big boys was assigned to the black team. Here he is taking instructions with his flag belt on.

He also got some encouraging words from his father and Jack.

Roger attended his first game, but he is too little to participate. He just played with the guys stuff on the sideline.
And of course a picture with Dad.
White Team
Black Team
And all my readers not in this weather area - Yes, it was 60 degrees and sun is shining and Yes, that is Jon in shorts and his silly head band.

Thanksgiving

I knew getting through my first Thanksgiving without Mom was going to be difficult. It was her favorite holiday! Stacy knew it too and offered to host the dinner at her house. Love You, Stacy!

She had no idea how to cook a turkey so I offered to help. Just like Mom helped me with my first turkey I went over to Stacy's house Wednesday night and shared my knowledge about cooking a turkey.

I gave her a list of what to get at the store before I got there. So sorry for calling you out on this, Stacy, but it is too funny not to share. I told Stacy to get 1 bag of flavored croutons and 1 bag of plain. When I got to her house she told me she could only find seasoned. Ok - It took everything I had not to laugh, she bought croutons for salads not stuffing. How was I to know she didn't know which was which, and how was she to know that there was such a thing as stuffing croutons. She has never stuffed a turkey before.
We sent Mike to the store to get what we needed.
Stacy hard at work.

Kory peeled and mashed the potatoes. He also carved his first bird.
Kaylyn set the table and assigned us our seats with homemade place cards.
Stacy had a great idea! Everyday starting Nov.1 we had to write something we were thankful for that day. Some were funny and some quite serious. During dinner and through out the rest of the day (because there was so many) someone would read one and we would all guess who's it was. It couldn't have gone better. The first one out of the bag (Now mind you there was over 100 thanks) was mine. "I am thankful for a stepdaughter who is hosting Thanksgiving this year" And the last one out was Kory's "I am thankful for my great in laws."

Stacy serving up the pies (pumpkin and banana) for the people with sweet tooth's. All Dylan wanted was the cookies that Mary made. It took him all day, but I think he finished off the whole plate there. I did manage to sneak one and they were mighty good.
Bryan, Mary and "I only need a 15 minute nap today" Roger had to leave early, but the rest of us played a game that I decided that you should probably play sober, though Stacy and I won a few rounds drinking wine. It's called 5 Second Rule. You need to name 3 things in 5 seconds. Kids think faster that adults.

It was a very good day!

GoodBye

We moved in to this neighborhood 8 years ago.
We settled right in.
Found some great friends in the couple across the street. Despite the differences in our age (Mike went to school with their sons). I thought we were friends.
We shared cocktails on the front porches. Split wood together. Visited with them on vacation. Shared tools. We even watched their house when they snowbird to FL. each year. We have a key and password to their house.
I thought we were good friends as far as neighbors go.

When we came home in September from vacation and we went to them to borrow their folding chairs for Mom's wake (which we have done numerous times). They were cold to me and Sharen, didn't know why, but no hugs, sorry about your mother, no sympathy, no smiles,  NOTHING. I thought it was strange, but, I was grieving and blew it off.

Then I found out the real story.
The land around their house is all owned by the Kane Co. forest preserve. They have been mowing and taking care of it ever since they moved here some 40 years ago.  No one says anything about it. Really who cares.

The village of SE built a pump station next to that land a couple years ago. Still no big deal.
When one of the employees of the village came and saw a hose attached to their pump house they contacted Kane county wondering if they were using the villages water.
Turns out the neighbors were using the villages water to water the trees.
The neighbors blame me and Sharen for "turning them in".
Now they have to move their motor home, (which they stored on the property and have now moved to the empty lot next to our house). They have to move their horse shoe pits and playground they built down there. And their storage hut is on the property also. Not sure what is happening there.
So I can understand why they are pissed.

What I don't understand is why would you think that we would hurt them and why don't you talk to us about it? One person has told them that we turned them in and that is that - after 8 years they "are done with us." (thank god most of the other neighbors believe we had nothing to do with it)
The one time I tired to talk with him - I left crying HARD, and didn't leave the house for 3 days thinking I would run into him again. He said some awful and hurtful things to me.

It took me a VERY long time but  I am resigned to the fact that we will never be friends again and I feel sorry for them - They lost some really good friends in us.

They did something wrong and got caught PERIOD! They have no one to blame but themselves.
So I mailed them back their key to their house and have washed my hands of them.

They are now gone to their home in FL. for the next 6 months.
Yay!
GoodBye!

Yikes!!

My whole adult life I have had long hair. I have always thought it is my best asset.

**There was one time in my twenties when I volunteered to be a hair model at a salon show at the Blackstone in downtown Chicago and stupidly signed a waver to let them cut my hair however they wanted. I never dreamed that they would CUT IT ALL OFF. That doesn't count!

I also have been coloring it (all different shades) since my first gray hair appeared.

I thought I could go gray before I cut it short, but when?
When do I cut it off and when do I stop with the colors and go gray?
You have to admit you don't see many older ladies with long hair.

OK - I decided at 60 - That's when it is going to happen. I will have a hair cut that shows my ears and I will stop buying Preference by Loreal and just let it happen.

Well, 60 came and went. I did get a haircut, but it still looks the same only shorter and you can only see my ears if it's pulled back. I tired to let it go gray, but I looked like a skunk, with a white streak. Ugh!

When I was over at Linda's cleaning out Ma's closet I ran across her wigs. Why Ma had 2 wigs with her beautiful hair I do not know.
I took them thinking the kids could use them for costumes.

What the heck? If  I wanted to see what I looked like short and gray just put the damn wig on and take a picture.
Holy Batman folks - I don't think it will happen any time soon.....if EVER. I quickly went out and bought hair color darker than usual.

You have to agree. YIKES!!!

Off to see The Circus

After seeing the commercial on TV. I really, really wanted to see the circus again. It's been awhile since we took the kids.

Stacy called looking for a sitter last Friday.
Mike gladly volunteered.
Me, I thought it was a great excuse for ME to go to the circus - take the grand kids along. I jumped online and they had a show Friday morning. Yay!

I chose 1st row balcony, because Bryan always told me that those were the best seats. He was so right. We could see everything perfect - no one in front of us. There was not a lot of people there so there was no one behind us either. All the preschool bus trips were on the first floor. And there were bunches of little ones running around.

They opened the floor up before the show so people could go down to the ring area. This elephant was doing art work and swung his trunk a foot away from Kaylyn who snagged a spot in the front. She quickly backed away. I thought it was awesome.

Clearly the elephants were my favorite part. Kaylyn like the tigers - oh, and the acrobats in the plastic bubble high in the air, oh, and the dog tricks, oh, and the horses - clearly she loved it all.
The boys - their favorite part was the guys jumping through knives and flames until the round cage came out. 8 motorcycles spinning around inside a cage was pretty incredible to all of us.

Mike, he thought it was great to spend time with his grand kids at the circus. OK, I liked that part too, but damn those elephants are something.

Surprise!!

I like surprises.
Soft surprises.
The Pumpkin Spice coffee mate in the door of the frig,
Mike making dinner while I am at Aqua-fit class,
finding the right material in the flannel aisle,
and random picture texts, kind of surprises.

NOT the jump out and stop my heart, sneak up behind me, and make me scream kind of surprises.

So when I walked into the house and saw a package from UPS with my name on it on the counter I was happy surprised.
I gave Mike the "OK, how much did you spend?" look and he raised both of his hands in surrender and said "No, It wasn't me!"

It only took me a minute to be annoyed. I am thinking someone forgot my birthday was last month. (I later found out that that was true) and this person doesn't know me very well to send me this.

Cupcakes - really - everybody who knows me knows that I am not a cake fan. Now I need to know who they are from.
Borderline pissed right now. Who in their right mind would waste their money by sending ME cupcakes?

I open the box and there is no card, just 48 mini cupcakes. Of course, I am convinced that who ever send these to me didn't included a card on purpose.

After closer inspection I realize maybe this person does know me.
The box was this pretty tie die, and these weren't just any cupcakes - These were "carrot cake" with cream cheese frosting. Pretty decorated!
Hummmm... "Baked by Melissa" with 20 cupcakes stores in and around New York. I was pretty sure I knew who sent them now!

I got a phone call last night and sure enough I was right. My birthday did slip Steve's mind, and he did send me this wonderful looking cupcakes in the mail.

I haven't tried them yet. Steve is coming for a visit soon and I will wait till then so we can try them out together.

Reflection

My Mother was a hard worker who raised 7 kids.
She was a Mother who disciplined us and instilled in us a drive and reason to be better at everything we did. We never wanted to disappoint her - NEVER.
Her motto was "The easy way is not always the right way!" and she did not let us take the easy way out ever - God Bless you for that, Ma.

I finally get what she was about or maybe it's just the process of growing older and wiser.

There comes a point in your life that you stop being a mother and switch your gears to "Grandma". Of course you will always be there for your kids when they need you, but that seems to be less and less.

True, you always want to know what is going on in your children's lives, but the conversations seems to turn to the grandkids. My conversations with Ma over the last few years of her life always ended up about the grandkids and great grandkids. Kinda like - OK enough about you what are the kids up to.
She was the best Grandma and great-grandma.

She showed me that your job as Mother changes. You don't need to worry about whether they are eating right, seeing the doctor, getting enough sleep, not staying out too late, and saving for their future  (at least on a daily basis). They should already know that by now, or they have a significant other in their lives to help them through all that.

No,  it is time to sit back and watch them become Mothers and Fathers of their own. To watch them become responsible parents. To succeed in their jobs and make something wonderful of themselves and just be proud of that.

Your job now is to be Grandma.

It's to plan your schedule around watching the grandkids play baseball and football. To see them on the sidelines cheering. To get on the floor and play blocks and build that tower over and over again only to be knocked down. To buy them something just because you know that they would love it.

You bake them pancakes and cookies and just like my Mother always did make so much food that they never leave hungry.

You fill your camera with pictures of silly fun stuff of them that nobody else but you will care about, but you think it's the best ever.

You brag to everyone what your grandkids are doing and you are not one bit embarrassed about it.

Yeah Ma, I think I can get used to this Grandma thing.

So I am going to face being 60 and see myself in the mirror as not getting older, but being a Grandma who thinks her grandkids will someday rule the rest of the world like they do mine.

Splitting Wood

We had a tree that was dead in our backyard. Sharen had one in her front yard so we tag teamed for a better price and scheduled them both as one job. They came on Monday and had them both down in a couple hours.
That left us with some major wood to be split.
Tree at our house coming down.
The tree at Sharen's
We rented a heavy duty splitter and got to work. We started on Tuesday and had a few visitors.
Anyone that showed up we put to work.
 - Bill showed up with his work gloves in hand and jumped right in
Linda came all 3 days down at Sharen's house (Even in the rain on Wednesday) and took her turn manning the blade lever.
We would fill Brian's truck and while they were unloading at our house I would take wood left behind and stack it in Sharen's yard and pile the crap wood on the fire.
I drove my tractor down from our house.

The boys were off school on Friday and wanted money for their Halloween costumes so they stacked this big pile of wood over behind the shed. They loaded the cart. I pulled it over (with my tractor) and they stacked all this wood! We made about 35 trips. Besides loading and stacking - Logan would drive the tractor and Dylan threw crap wood on the fire. They were such a HUGE help!!!!
I was so proud of them. They earned every penny I paid them. I couldn't help and think of Mom. She was whispering in my ear "pay them what they were worth". It was more than $20 Mom. :)

We still have some logs from our tree to split. We only have the splitter for a week so it looks like we will continue right through this weekend. So don't look for me in the Chicago marathon - we have one of our own in our backyard.

Survivor Fans

I am pretty sure you would want to keep ME on your tribe.
This Bi**ch (a shout out to Jack and Jeremy, APM) can keep a fire burning.

During the steady rain today, I kept a fire going to burn the bark and scrap wood.

Walmart

When Bryan was growing up we had a 7-11 a block away. If I needed something I didn't have in my kitchen, all I had to do was give him money for a slurpee and he would usually walk down there for me. I could go and get what I needed very quickly. I missed that store when we moved out here in the country.

They built a new super walmart a couple of miles from the house.  I have to jump into the car to get there, but it is really easy and convenient to run too.

Sunday before the Ryder Cup came on I took a quick run over there with a list of 4 things. A planned quick trip of just 4 things.

Nope - as I was headed over to the flavored water section (Sharen got me hooked on the Pineapple/Coconut water) I walked down the aisle of my dreams.

This crazy store has a whole aisle devoted to PUMPKIN.
Glorious Pumpkin!!!!

Coffee, jello, cookies, bars, cake, beer, creamer, marshmallows, icing, no bake pie, can pumpkin

Ryder Cup

The visit to Medinah and the practice rounds of the Ryder Cup were more than I had hoped for.
We started out Tuesday morning at 7:30 and the crowds were not too bad. We parked at the forest preserve for free, hopped on a shuttle bus and were at the course in 10 minutes. Very easy!

We started walking the course and when we got to 3 we knew that we had to stop there. There were bleachers for the guys to sit and watch, which were empty, and Sharen and I planted ourselves right out side the walkway between holes about 20 ft from the cup and 15 ft from the green. Prime location for pictures. We had to stand around for about 3.5 hours before all the golfer came through, but that was OK we met some young twin boys, Kyle and Andrew from Fl. They wanted to get a picture so Andrew could post it on facebook, so I had the guy take one of us for my blog. Kyle thought I was pretty cool cause I blogged. We passed the time talking twin.
All the members of the Europe team signed autographs. No one was signing for the American team but Matt Kuchar. Standing right in front of us was a boy clearly going through Chemo. Kuchar stopped, signed his flag and his hat, and chatted with him for a good minute. I heard the conversation and got choked up big time. The Amercain team did hand out RC pins and told all the kids they would sign after the round. Not sure if that happened because we were long gone by then.
After all the golfers came through Mike and Dup wanted to walk around the course and the only thing Sharen and I wanted to do was SIT DOWN somewhere. We decided on the 13th green to watch them hit up on a par 3. Not thinking the boys took off with both cell phones and the money. Sharen sat there for awhile while I headed over to the first fairway to get some pics of the captain/celebrity scramble. When I got back we both decided we were thirsty and tired and wanted to shop and get something to eat before heading home. We both borrowed cell phones to try and call the boys. No Answer. Ugh! They finally show up and we head over to the gift shop, grab a bite to eat, and head on home. 3:30pm. Very successful day 1.

Day 2 started out with a birthday breakfast. Thanks Mike. Got to the course a little later - around 9:45. Stopped for a twin picture in front of Tiger Woods poster!
Sharen was hoping they were signing again today and bought a flag. No such luck! Note to visitors next time go on day one for autographs. We caught some Europe players between holes 1 and 2, but no such luck in any autographs. Bummer! A couple of the American golfers were teeing it up on the backside so we decide to sit in the TALLLLLL bleachers on 17 and watch from there. It was very nice having Mike there - one to take our pictures everywhere and 2 he saved our seat so Sharen and I could run over to the 14th tee off to get some pictures of golfers tee off. Mission accomplished.
People were asking why we had corsages on and we proudly told them that it was our birthday and Sharen's daughter made them for us.

While you wait for golfers to come through you sit or stand around and talk with everyone who is around you. On the 17th green we sat in front of a couple from Ireland. The couple next to us were from Tulsa and they were here for the whole tourney. The most interesting were the four guys sitting in front of us. (I couldn't not sit in the front row). They were from Denver. Yes they were Bronco fans and in true Bronco fashion (Andy) they snuck a flask of whiskey in their pants. It took some convincing on Sharen and my part to stop them from singing Happy Birthday to us. They were convinced that they could get the whole crowd involved. Thanks God for that one. Those poor guys sat there for 5.5 hours and only saw 6 golfers. Most all the golfer had stopped before getting to the 17th hole. They had one more day there so when we left they were planning their tomorrow. Oh Yeah, one of them was a twin too, but his twin wasn't there.
It was a smooth day from getting to the course, getting around the course (even with all the crowds), getting something to eat, shopping in the gift shop and leaving the place. All went really well. No lines for us. We did see some lines for the pottys, but not when we needed them.

Just a few observations. I know they bring in money, but there were way-way too many corporate tents. There had very few bins for recycling - even though everything came in plastic cups or bottles. They could of used more picnic table or places to eat. Behind the first tee were about 30 tables and room for 100 more.
The course looked amazing and when we cut across the fairway you could see they were immaculatly groomed. Big thumbs up to the golf attire on both days. Pin striped pants with navy shirts on Tuesday and red pants with navy shirts on Wednesday. The red.white.blue jackets looked really good too.

 Good Job Medinah... Go USA!!!!
Lots of pictures on my shutterfly......
